Refund policy

The short version

Try it free for 7 days before you pay anything. If you do pay and it is not what you wanted, write to [email protected] within 30 days of the charge and you get your money back. That applies to renewals too.

Try it before you buy it

TextLoupe runs free for 7 days from first use, with no card and no account. That is the real answer to "will this work for me": the trial is the same app doing the same work, so by the time you subscribe you already know. Refunds exist for what the trial cannot tell you.

The 30-day window

Any charge can be refunded in full within 30 days of the day it was taken. You do not have to give a reason. This covers your first payment on either plan, and it covers a renewal that you did not expect or did not want.

After 30 days a charge is outside the policy, but write anyway. An annual renewal you never used, a licence that stopped working, a double charge: those get sorted out on their facts, not on a date.

What happens to your licence

A refunded subscription ends. The licence key stops working once the refund is processed, and the AI actions stop with it. Nothing on your Mac is touched, and the app itself stays installed.

How to ask

Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or include your order number from the Paddle receipt if you bought with a different one. That is all we need to find the payment. You will get a reply within two working days.

You can also request the refund directly through Paddle, using the link on the receipt they emailed you. Either route reaches the same place.

Who pays it out

Paddle is the merchant of record for every TextLoupe purchase, so Paddle took the payment and Paddle issues the refund. We approve it and they process it. The money goes back to the card or account it came from, usually within a few working days, though how quickly it shows up is up to your bank.

Your legal rights

This policy is what we offer voluntarily, on top of whatever the consumer law where you live already gives you. In the EU and the UK that includes a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Nothing on this page shortens that, and where the two differ, the one that is better for you applies.

Please write before you dispute

If something has gone wrong, one email fixes it faster than a chargeback and it reaches a person who can actually look at your account. We would much rather refund you than argue with your bank about it.
